Chris Fasciano is chief investment officer - core equities. He joined the Small- and Mid-Cap Core team in 1994 and he now leads five professionals based in Boston. In addition to leading the team, Mr. Fasciano has research responsibility for the energy, automotive & auto parts, defense & aerospace, utilities and telecom sectors. Prior to joining the team Mr. Fasciano was with Wertheim Schroder's sell-side equity research group where he helped cover the specialty chemistry industry. He started his career at State Street Bank & Trust Company in 1987 where he was a portfolio accountant and a member of the corporate action group. Mr. Fasciano has a B.A. in Economics from Bates College and an M.B.A. from Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
Timothy Buckley is senior portfolio manager - core equities. He joined the Small- and Mid-Cap Core team in 1998. In addition to his portfolio management role, he has research responsibility for the interest sensitive, media, and technology sectors. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Buckley was a corporate bond analyst at State Street Research & Management Company where he was responsible for covering investment grade issuers across a variety of industries. He began his career as a Financial Institution Examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1989. Mr. Buckley is a CFA charterholder and has a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Susan Hager is a senior research analyst for the Small- and Mid-Cap Core team. She joined the team in 1997 and has research responsibility for all consumer sectors including discretionary spending, services and staples. Prior to her current position, Ms. Hager was a research analyst with Pioneer Management Corporation covering the consumer sector for a variety of value oriented mutual funds across all market capitalizations. She also contributed to Pioneer's international portfolio for several years. Ms. Hager started her career with the Environmental Protection Agency in 1972 working with state agencies to develop plans to meet federal air quality standards. Ms. Hager is a CFA charterholder and has a B.S.M.E. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. with honors from Boston University.
Michael Evans is a senior research analyst for the Small- and Mid-Cap Core team. He joined the team in 2002 and has research responsibility for the basic industries, capital goods and transportation sectors. Prior to joining the team, he worked for Gray Capital Management as a fixed income analyst and assistant portfolio manager. Mr. Evans previously worked as an associate on the institutional taxable fixed income sales desk at Smith Barney Inc. He began his career as an investor representative for mutual fund firm Liberty Financial Co. Mr. Evans is a CFA charterholder and has a B.A. from Bates College and an M.S.F. from Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College.
Ray Lewis is a senior research analyst for the Small- and Mid-Cap Core team. He joined the team in 2002 and has research responsibility for the healthcare and business services sectors, including IT services and processors. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a sell-side analyst covering a variety of healthcare service and product companies at McDonald Investments, Schroder & Co. and NatWest Markets. He began his career at Detroyat Associes in Paris. Mr. Lewis is a CFA charterholder and earned a B.A. from Tufts University in International Relations and History.
